History of CU Chemie Uetikon AG
In 1818 the siblings Heinrich, Rudolf, Kaspar and Elisabeth Schnorf founded an industrial undertaking to produce sulphuric acid and sulphate compounds at Uetikon on the shores of Lake Zurich. Today this undertaking is known as CU Chemie Uetikon AG.
In 2002 two activities were spun off namely the silicate chemistry as Zeochem AG and the production of mineral fertilizers as CU Agro AG. Both are own legal enterprises and remained fully owned subsidiaries of CPH Chemie + Papier Holding AG.
Today CU Chemie Uetikon AG exclusively produces deuterated compounds, primarily solvents for NMR-spectroscopy. |
