Properties of Deuterated Solvents

Basically deuterated compounds have similar physical and chemical properties as their corresponding hydrogen compounds.

Their density is higher, proportionally to their molecular weights. Their chemical reactivity is slightly lower than those of their corresponding hydrogen compounds (isotope effect).
